The Kotwica, a World War II emblem of the Polish Underground State appeared on the walls in Occupied Warsaw on this day 78 years ago. It was created by Anna Smoleńska, a member of the Grey Ranks scouting resistance and Home Army courier. The sign is legally protected since 22 Aug. 2014.
