Hollywood has been at the forefront of propaganda and for years has been negative in its portrayal of Poland so it’s not remarkable to witness such revisionism, this time making films about “Good Germans”. The true story of Schindler is quite different from who he really was. It’s tragic actually with all of the heroic stories of the Polish that there are not films about them. There is endless material for screenwriters and it would not be hard to find a story to produce, but sadly that doesn’t seem to fit the narrative that is being spun right now or for the past decades. One blockbuster story would be that of Witold Pilecki which I heard had some interest, but there were conditions that he’d have to be Jewish but the family declined.
